About Oaktown, IN - Happy to be your hometown Plumbing Contractor!

Oaktown is a small town situated along Highway 150 in Busseron Township, Knox County, Indiana. According to the United States Census Bureau, Oaktown has a population of about 600 people. Oaktown was laid out in 1867 and is located about 40 miles south of Terre Haute, the 12th largest city in Indiana.

Although Oaktown is a very small town, there are still things to see and do within the community. Oaktown is home to various restaurants including McKinley Orchard and Restaurant and ‘Da Bar and Grill. Oaktown is also home to the Oak Village Health Care Center, one United States Postal Service office, the Oaktown First Christian Church and also the Oaktown Christian Parsonage. Individuals who enjoying taking trips with RV or trailers will especially enjoy Oaktown, home to New Vision RV Park. The beautiful and accommodating park is located in the northern portion of Oaktown and provides guests wonderful amenities and beautiful views at a prime location.

One major benefit of living in Oaktown is the weather during the summer season. Daytime temperature highs throughout the months of June, July and August average in the mid-80s. At night, temperatures will dip into the low-60s. However, Oaktown is not immune to heatwaves. Individuals should have central air conditioning units installed in their homes to be prepared in case of an emergency. 

During the winter season weather in Oaktown is generally cold and wet. Daytime temperatures range from the mid-30s to low-40s on average and dip well below freezing at night. In addition to cold temperatures, snowfall is common during the winter season.
