About Bicknell, IN - Happy to be your hometown Plumbing Contractor!

Bicknell is a small city located in Knox County, Indiana. As of 2010, the city had a population of almost 3,000 people. Bicknell was laid out in 1869 and is named in honor of John Bicknell, the city’s founder.

Bicknell is a very welcoming city to all individuals. Each year Bicknell hosts various types of activities and festivals that draw individuals from all parts of the community and beyond. Families will enjoy spending time at the Bicknell’s two city parks. These parks are home to playgrounds and walking trails that provide exercise for visitors. Bicknell is also home to several seasonal events such as the annual Bicknell Heritage Festival. The Festival takes place on Labor Day weekend and features a parade, a softball tournament and annual Bicknell Highschool reunions.

Individuals who are relocating to Bicknell will find it is necessary to install both heating and cooling systems in their homes. Winters in the city are usually cold and wet. Daytime temperature highs throughout December, January and February average in the low-40s. In addition to cold temperatures, Bicknell also receives plenty of snowfall. 

Summers in Bicknell are generally mild in comparison with other parts of the country. June, July and August have daytime temperature highs that average in the mid and upper-80s. However, Bicknell is not immune to heat waves. Temperatures can reach well into the upper-90s during the warmest days of the summer. Due to the amount of precipitation that Bicknell receives throughout the summer months, humidity levels are often high.
