About Sullivan, IN - Happy to be your hometown Plumbing Contractor!

Sullivan is a central Indiana city located in Hamilton Township, Sullivan County. The city had a population of about 4,200 people in 2010 according to the U.S. Census Bureau. Sullivan currently serves as the county seat of Sullivan County and is part of the Terre Haute Metropolitan Statistical Area.

The City of Sullivan is home to several well-noted destinations and attractions such as the Sullivan County Courthouse, situated in the center of the City of Sullivan. The three-story courthouse, built in the early 1920s, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and was constructed by architects and builders Walter Health and John Bayard. Also located in Sullivan is the locally-famous Sherman Building. This building is located on the Downtown City Square and was constructed by F. J. Nicholas in 1915. The building is well-known due to the Sherman family’s long commercial association with the City of Sullivan. Today, the theater is being utilized as a church.

Sullivan is located in a climate that experiences cold winters and mild summers. Daytime temperature highs throughout the months of December, January and February range from the mid-30s to low-40s on average. 

Summer is often happily welcome by Sullivan residents after the long winter season. Daytime temperature highs average in the mid-80s throughout June, July and August. At night, temperatures will dip into the upper-50s and mid-60s. Although the weather is usually mild during this season, the city is not immune to heat waves.
